Methyl 5-Methylpyrazole-3-carboxylate is a crystalline solid that belongs to the class of organic compounds. The crystal structure was determined using x-ray diffraction analysis, and the molecular formula was determined to be C8H7NO2 by x-ray structure analysis. The compound has an x-ray diffraction pattern with one strong peak at 2θ = 20.6°, which corresponds to the crystal lattice parameter of 0.9648 nm.
Methyl 5-Methylpyrazole-3-carboxylate is soluble in benzene and acetone but insoluble in water or ethanol. This compound has been shown to exhibit antiinflammatory properties due to its ability to inhibit prostaglandin synthesis.
